OK, I've had my burner for a few months now. When I got it I bought a 100 Spindle of Ritek G03 blanks. It's a Pioneer DVR-103 (same as DVR-A03). I have a hacked bios allowing 2x burning on the Riteks. 2007, TiVoToGo was extended to the Macintosh with Toast Titanium 8. I've burned a couple coasters in the past when I was trying to do too much on the computer. TiVo is a digital video recorder (DVR) developed and marketed by Xperi and introduced in. So this morning, I fire up my Record Now Max, load the image, and start a burn. Job 1, Host:2 ID:1 (F:) - Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-103 - Recording - Error -10 at Sector 608 - Disc Read Error - Command:2A Sense:03 ASC:73 ASCQ:03 So then I load the second image, put in a new blank, and start the record. SHIT! OK, no big deal, maybe I tried doing too much at once again. OK, Reboot, and try burning with else running. OK, so that's three coasters now, all with the _identical_ error message. So, I load a new image and start a new burn. So what I'm hoping is that someone can help me figure out what the problem is? So I've just wasted $10 CAD on blank DVD's. Now, I haven't changed ANYTHING since my last successful burn (about 10 minutes before my first coaster) so it really shouldn't be a software / hardware issue. Software: Stomp RecordNow MAX v4.50 Build 450B20B.358 (STE)Īgain, NOTHING has changed between the last successful burn and all these coasters. Toast should work now - assuming that was your problem. Please keep me from making yet another coaster!Īs far as the Riteks are concerned, I've burned close to 40 good DVD's with only an occasional coaster when I tried to do too much on my machine. When in Media it finds my old iPhoto Library, but can’t find my Photo Library, even though it is located in the default. Invalid Serial Number for SoundSoap for Toast, Included with Roxio Titanium 2011 SoundSoap crashes when. If it had done that it would have taken me 1 minute to find and fix the problem instead of an hour and a half. The fix is that when the create directory function (or whatever its called in the software being used) fails, it should add the directory name to the error message. Another application that does that is called Toast Titanium. It should report which directory it was trying to write instead of just saying that access permission was lacking. Roxio Toast 11 Titanium is like CyberLink DVD Suite where you can do a lot of things like watch a DVD movie, create different kinds of data discs and burn them in Blue-ray, HD DVD, DVD, and CD, create audio CDs or rip an audio CD, make a VCD, SVCD or DVD, copy different kinds of discs like Blue-ray, HD DVD, DVD and CD, create a backup of your hard drive, restore your computer, create and burn. One application that does that is called iDVD, and you can get that from Apple. There is no excuse for a crappy error message like that one. IMHO (and I've been in software for 40+ years), the error message is absolutely broken. use finder to add yourself as a user with r/w in that directory. The solution is to either 1) go to preferences and change the temporary directory to a writable place or 2) fix ~/Documents so that you have write privileges in it (i.e. In my case, ~/Documents was only writable by system, so when I ran Toast as myself, it failed. Hey there Im trying to burn a VideoTS folder in Toast Titanium 8 and i keep getting this message at different times in the burning process HARDWARE. If the permissions on ~/Documents are not correct, you get the error message. by default Toast creates a directory called ~/Documents/Roxio Converted Items where it puts temporary files. It had to do with the directory ~/Documents. The problem I had is that the permission had nothing to do with the disc, or in my case the directory to which an image was being saved. I get the same message, and this message has been reported in several threads. OK, it took me a while but I've finally figure this one out, at least for my case.
